The Austin STC chapter is proud to honor the winners of our 2009 - 2010 online communication and technical publication professional competitions.  See below for photos from the awards banquet.

Best in  Show

The Best of Show (Distinguished) award went to Laurie Mills of Bright Leaf Group dba cPubs, for Inspire + Innovate: Achievements in Corporate Responsibility Fiscal Year 2009. Accepting the award was Karen Johnson.

Lori Martin and Ellen Prediger, from Life Technologies, received a number of awards, in the category of Corporation Technical Publication - Technical Marketing Support, including Awards of Excellence for Leading the Way in MicroRNA; Analyzing Genetic Variation Using HRM Mutation Scanning Followed by Sanger Sequencing; Innovations; Leading the Way in MicroRNA; and Energize your Biofuel Research.

Ron Stefani received a number of awards for team projects worked on for Dell Corporations, including Awards of Merit for Allienware M15X Mobile Manual and Dell Studio One Setup Guide. His team also won Awards of Merit for Dell Inspirion One 19 Service Manual and Allienware Optx AW2210 Setup Guide.

Mary Connor

Mary Connor of Advanced Solutions International, Inc., received an Award of Excellence in online communication for iMISHelpsite: Usability Enhancements.

STC Judges for Awards

Volunteer judges for the event were Ron Stefani and Brett Youngblood (front row) and Diana Ost, Angella Beshara, Janet Swisher, Linda Davis, and Marilyn Rogers (standing). Additional judges included Bobbie Mattord and Sabrina Wingfield.
