Agile Discussion Panel

Join us to talk to a panel of experts in Agile development environment processes and practices. Topics to be discussed include: What is Agile, what is SCRUM, why switch to Agile, how has Agile changed things, how have documentation deliverables changed with Agile, and many more.

Panelist Bios

Mary Connor, a past president of STC Austin, has an M.A. in English and has been teaching and performing technical communication for 20 years. Currently Documentation Architect at Advanced Solutions International, she specializes in software documentation and training materials, single-sourcing and content management, usability and universal design, and information system design.

Marilyn Rogers is a Senior Information Developer with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Journalism from The University of Kansas. Marilyn is employed at Dovetail Software where she develops and writes online help for Dovetail’s Customer Service and Support software. She previously held positions in Austin, TX and in the Silicon Valley at Borland Software, Remedy Software, Sybase Incorporated, and Informix Software.

Melissa Burpo is an Information Developer at Advanced Solutions International. She holds a Master’s in Technical Communication from Miami University in Ohio, the studies for which she concluded with an internship at Dovetail Software. Her master’s thesis focused on agile documentation. She worked at Dovetail Software as their lone writer before joining the Information Development group at Advanced Solutions, where she helped the writing group transition to agile.
